Makeup Tutorial – Everyday Work Look

So if you've been following my blog you may have noticed a complete lack of updates recently. This was due at first to me going up to Birmingham to see my boyfriend for a week, but when I got back I was then notified about a job that I had applied for and had to start this monday!

The job's not particularly exciting I guess, I'm editing designs for the engineering company Intra, that my dad works for. But it's a really great environment to work in- everyone's so nice!
It's a little weird because the office I'm in has no other women but lots of very pleasant engineers who try incredibly hard not to swear too much as there's “a young lady” in the office, haha!

My usual make up look ALWAYS has gel eyeliner, but for work I thought that was a little over the top. So here is a natural and pretty look that I've been doing this week that is incredibly low maintenance and a lot quicker than when I'm playing around with 50s-style flicks for my eyes!

It's also my first video post. I was too scared to actually say anything, but maybe next time I'll buck up and do a proper video review (with my voice and everything! Ooh-er!)

Products in this video are as follows:
Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in Porcelain
Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder in White
Lily Lolo Mineral Foundation in Porcelain
Benefit Coralista
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
Cargo Lash Activator
L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes in Extra Black
Bourjois Kohl & Contour in Ultra Black
Rosy Lips Vaseline

  1. Wow that was a fast video! Such a good work look though! You're so pretty too! Gah! Jealous of your skin and hair so much! This is so much better than my video! The music has got in my head too heehee...

    1. Haha! I was going to make it less fast but I didn't have much time and I couldn't decide on more than one music track. So really... I'm just lazy.
I loved your video, you should do more! And the quality was a lot better than mine. I need some decent video editing software.. and a better camera... sigh!

Glad you liked it and the music though. It is super catchy :>

    2. I just rambled in mine! Dave has been desperately trying to find it and he can't and he is banned from my blog haha! I filmed mine on my iPhone! Maybe we should do a 'give-me-a-camera' appeal to Argos??

    3. Aww, you shouldn't ban him, it's a good video :P But yes, we definitely should! I might try with my dad's digital camera for the next one... but it would be much easier if I can just buy a better quality webcam.. maybe next month when I have money!

  2. Congrats on the job! It's really tough finding work at the moment so you're lucky! Fantastic first video, I understand your fear of speaking on video, I'm so scared I'll get camera fright if I ever try to break Youtube! Good luck if you decide to speak on the next one, I'm sure you've got nothing to worry about :D

    1. Thanks! I definitely would be jobless if it weren't for my dad. It's incredibly boring work, but at least it pays! Have to feed my beauty addiction some how...
I think I'll get a better video editing program, grab my dad's digital camera and have another go at a video soon. Maybe this weekend. So everyone can hear my terrible voice :P
You should have a go too! Safety in numbers, after all!
